REGULAR MEETING			14 JANUARY 2008

The Board of Education of Uniontown Unified School District 235, State of 
Kansas, met in regular session on Monday, January 14, 2008, at 7:30 p.m. in 
the Cafeteria of West Bourbon Elementary in Uniontown, Kansas.

Board members present:  Eldon Luker, Doug Coyan, John Ericson, 
		Terry Nading, Jeff Tinsley, Shawn Wilkinson and Lynne Oharah 

Others present for all or portions of the meeting:

	Randy Rockhold   Bonnie Rathbun    Gloria Luker  Rhonda Hoener
            Sherri Hartman   Marianna Daugherty  Tracy Smith 
	            	
The meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. by President John Ericson. 
Ericson then led the group in the flag salute.

Motion was made by Coyan, seconded by Nading, to approve the agenda with
the deletion of Item VI:  Executive Session-Personnel matters.
Motion passed 7-0. 

Motion was made by Tinsley, seconded by Wilkinson, to approve the minutes 
of the December 17, 2007, meeting. 
Motion passed 7-0.  

Motion was made by Oharah, seconded by Luker, to approve the consent 
agenda.
Motion passed 7-0.

	A.	Pay bills in the amount of $49,103.06.
	B.	Approve Treasurer's Report for December 2007.
	C.	Approve Republishing 2007-2008 budget.

No patron addressed the Board

Oral and written reports were given to the board by Principals Daugherty and
Smith.  Superintendent Rockhold gave a brief explanation of why the budget
has to be republished.

Motion was made by Coyan, seconded by Nading, to go into executive
session for a period of (20) twenty minutes to discuss personnel matters of non
elected personnel to protect the privacy interests of an identifiable individual.

Motion passed 7-0.

Motion was made by Coyan, seconded by Oharah, to extend the executive 
session for an additional (30) thirty minutes.
Motion passed 7-0.

Into Executive Session at 8:10 p.m.
Out of Executive Session at 8:40 p.m.

Motion was made by Coyan, seconded by Tinsley, to go into executive 
session for a period of (20) twenty minutes to discuss negotiations to protect
the district's right to the confidentiality of its negotiating position and the 
public interest.  Rockhold was invited into the session.
Motion passed 7-0.

Into Executive Session at 8:45 p.m.
Out of Executive Session at 9:05 p.m.

Motion made by Coyan, seconded by Tinsley, to adjourn the meeting.  
Motion passed 7-0.                           

Meeting adjourned at 9:07 p.m.
