REGULAR MEETING			 FEBRUARY 18, 2008

The Board of Education of Uniontown Unified School District 235, State of 
Kansas, met in regular session on Monday, February 18, 2008, at 7:30 p.m. in 
the Commons Area of Uniontown High School in Uniontown, Kansas.

Board members present:  Eldon Luker, Doug Coyan, John Ericson, Terry 
                                  Nading, and Shawn Wilkinson

Board members absent:  Lynne Oharah, Jeff Tinsley

Others present for all or portions of the meeting:
            Randy Rockhold, Superintendent, Sherri Hartman, Jean Cook
             Christal Martin, Seth Martin,  Bonnie Rathbun, 
	Greg Vahrenberg, PiperJaffray	

The meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. by President John Ericson. Ericson
then led the group in the flag salute.

Motion was made by Coyan, seconded by Wilkinson, to approve the agenda with 
the deletion of Item IV: Executive Session-Superintendent Evaluation. 
Motion passed 5-0.  

Motion was made by Luker, seconded by Nading, to approve the minutes of 
the January 14, 2008 meeting. 
Motion passed 5-0.  

Rockhold gave a brief explanation of why we had to republish the budget.

Motion was made by Nading, seconded by Coyan, to approve the consent
agenda.
Motion passed 5-0.

	A.	Pay bills in the amount of $212,606.44.
	B.	Approve Treasurer's Report for January 2008.
     C.   Approve 2007-2008 Republished Budget.

A written and oral report was given by Greg Vahrenberg, PiperJaffray, regarding
refinancing the 1999 bond.  Motion was made by Coyan, seconded by Wilkinson,
to adopt the time line for refinancing the 1999 bond.
Motion passed 5-0.

Superintendent Rockhold gave an oral presentation to the board.

Motion was made by Coyan, seconded by Nading, to go into executive session
for a period of twenty (20) minutes to discuss negotiations to protect the
district's right to the confidentiality of its negotiating position and the public
interest.
Motion passed 5-0.

Out of Executive Session at 8:25 p.m.

Motion was made by Coyan, seconded by Nading, to go into executive 
session for a period of twenty (20) minutes to discuss personnel matters of 
non elected personnel in order to protect the privacy interests of an identifiable
individual. 
Motion passed 5-0.

Into Executive Session at 8:28 p.m.
Out of Executive Session at 8:48 p.m.

Motion was made by Coyan, seconded by Nading, to accept the retirement
of Nancy Richwine and Kathleen Gilliland at the end of the 2008 school year.
We would like to thank them for their years of service to the district.
Motion passed 5-0.

Motion was made by Wilkinson, seconded by Luker, to approve Curtis 
Thomas as Vocal and Instrumental teacher of Uniontown High School for
the 2008-2009 school year.
Motion passed 5-0.

Motion made by Coyan, seconded Wilkinson, to adjourn the meeting.  
Motion passed 5-0.
