REGULAR MEETING			               12 OCTOBER 2009

The Board of Education of Uniontown Unified School District 235, State of
Kansas, met in regular session on Monday, October 12, 2009, at 7:30 p.m.
in the UJHS/UHS Library in Uniontown, Kansas.

Board members present:  
                   John Ericson, Doug Coyan,  Eldon Luker, Shawn Wilkinson

Board members absent for meeting:  Jeff Tinsley, Matt Wood, Lynne Oharah

Others present for all or portions of the meeting:
      Randy Rockhold     Sherri Hartman   Tracy Smith  Rhonda Hoener    
      Janet Jackson 
			
The meeting was called to order at 7:34 p.m. by John Ericson.   Ericson then 
led the group in the flag salute.

Motion was made by Luker, seconded by Coyan, to approve the agenda 
Motion passed 4-0.

Motion was made by Wilkinson, seconded by Coyan, to approve the minutes 
of the September 14, 2009 meeting. 
Motion passed 4-0. 

Motion was made by Coyan, seconded by Nading, to approve the consent 
agenda.
Motion passed 5-0.  
	
           A.  Approve and pay bills in the amount of $71,018.66.
           B.  Approve Treasurer's Report for September 2009.  
           C.  Approve the FFA National Trip
           D.  Accept Small Rural School Achievement Grant. ($18,952.00) 
           E.  Approve purchase of waste oil heater for bus barn. ($4,895.00)

No patrons asked to address the Board.

Principal Smith gave written and oral reports to the board.  Superintendent
Rockhold gave written and oral reports regarding a budget freeze.

Motion was made by Coyan, seconded by Wilkinson, to go into executive
session for a period of fifteen (15) minutes to discuss personnel matters of 
non elected personnel in order to protect the privacy interests of an
identifiable individual.
Motion passed 4-0.

Into Executive Session at 8:25 p.m.
Rhonda Hoener was invited in.

Motion passed 4-0.
