UNIONTOWN UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT 235 Uniontown, Kansas 66779 REGULAR MEETING 11 May 2009 The Board of Education of Uniontown Unified School District 235, State of Kansas, met in regular session on Monday, May 11, 2009, at 7:33 p.m. in the the Uniontown High School Commons Area in Uniontown, Kansas. Board members present: Lynne Oharah, Shawn Wilkinson, John Ericson, Eldon Luker, Terry Nading, and Doug Coyan Board members absent: Jeff Tinsley Others present for all or portions of the meeting: Randy Rockhold Kevin Gleason Sherri Hartman Jenny Covey Tracy Smith Reed Gleason Alex Miller The meeting was called to order at 7:33 p.m. by President John Ericson who then led the group in the flag salute. Motion was made by Coyan, seconded by Nading, to adopt the agenda with the addition of Consent Agenda Item D: Approve the hiring of Andrea Dinkel as band and vocal teacher for 2009-2010. Motion Passed 6-0. Motion was made by Luker, seconded by Oharah, to approve the minutes of the April 13, 2009, meeting. Motion passed 6-0. During audience with patrons, Kevin Gleason, Reed Gleason and Alex Miller gave a presentation on NationalÕs for the Livestock Judging Team. Principal Daugherty gave a written report, Principal Smith gave an oral report and Superintendent Rockhold gave written and oral administrative and budget reports. Motion was made by Wilkinson, seconded by Nading, to approve the Consent Agenda. Motion passed 6-0. A. Approve payment of bills in the amount of $225,745.83. B. Approve Treasurers Report for April 09. C. Approve Athletic Handbook for 2009-2010. D. Approve Andrea Dinkel as Band and Vocal teacher for 2009-2010. Motion was made by Coyan, seconded by Oharah, to adjourn the meeting. Motion passed 6-0.
