The WBE Site Base Council 

The WBE Site Council is involved in the process of school review
and improvement. This committee is made up of teachers, 
principal, community members and parents. The goal will be to 
evaluate WBE, collecting information in a variety of ways.
There will be an annual evaluation of the content and effectiveness 
of the Parental Involvement Program and parents will be asked for 
their input a survey. The evaluation will include an assessment of 
how much parental involvement is increasing and what barriers to 
parental participation need to be overcome. The school system will 
revise its Parental Involvement Program on the basis of this annual 
review.

The WBE Building Level Team

The Building Level Team (BLT) is a team that develops school
improvement plans to meet state standards, show yearly 
improvement, and aide in our school to be accredited by the state. 
QPA,  Quality Performance Accreditation, is a statewide program 
with high academic standards that challenges each school in 
Kansas.  Our yearly progress is published in the West Bourbon
Elementary School Profile.

The WBE Student Intervention Team

West Bourbon Elementary has a Student Intervention Team called 
the SIT team.  This team considers students who are struggling with
academics and/or classroom behavior.  The members of the team
and the classroom teacher develop strategies to help the students
be successful. The team meets quarterly and on an as neede
basis. Student plans are continued from year to year as needed.
