REGULAR MEETING			9 JANUARY 2012

The Board of Education of Uniontown Unified School District 235, State of 
Kansas, met in regular session on Monday, January 9, 2012, at 7:30 p.m. in 
the BOE Meeting Room in Uniontown, Kansas.

Board members present:  Eldon Luker, Doug Coyan, Matt Simpson, Jason
	 Sutterby, Matt Wood , Shawn Wilkinson and Lynne Oharah 

Others present for all or portions of the meeting:

	Randy Rockhold   Tracy Smith   Sherri Hartman 
	            	
The meeting was called to order at 7:31 p.m. by President Matt Wood. 
Wood then led the group in the flag salute.

Motion was made by Coyan, seconded by Oharah, to approve the agenda. 
Motion passed 7-0. 

Motion was made by Sutterby, seconded by Simpson, to approve the minutes 
of the December 12, 2011, meeting. 
Motion passed 7-0.  

Motion was made by Wilkinson, seconded by Coyan, to approve the consent 
agenda.
Motion passed 7-0.

	A.	Pay bills in the amount of $293,193.68.
	B.	Approve Treasurer's Report for December 2011.
	
No patron addressed the Board

Oral and written reports were given to the board by Principal Smith and
Superintendent Rockhold.

Motion was made by Coyan, seconded by Wilkinson, to go into executive session
for a period of fifteen (15) minutes to discuss personnel matter of  non elected 
personnel to protect privacy interests of an identifiable individual.
Motion passed 7-0.

Into Executive Session at 8:00 p.m.
Out of Executive Session at 8:15 p.m.

Motion was made by Wilkinson, seconded by Sutterby to approve the retirement
of Mary Graham for 07/01/2012.  The Board publicly thanked Mrs. Graham
for her years of service to the district and for being an amazing teacher as well as an
amazing person.

Motion was made by Simpson, seconded by Coyan, to go into executive 
session for a period of (10) ten minutes to discuss negotiations to 
protect the district's right to the confidentiality of its negotiating position 
and the public interest.  
Motion passed 7-0.

Into Executive Session at 8:17 p.m.
Out of Executive Session at 8:27 p.m.

Motion made by Coyan, seconded by Simpson to adjourn the meeting.  
Motion passed 7-0.                           

Meeting adjourned at 8:27 p.m.
