REGULAR MEETING/BUDGET HEARING	10 AUGUST 2009

The Board of Education of Uniontown Unified School District 235, State of 
Kansas, met in regular session on Monday, August 10, 2009, at 7:30 p.m. in 
the Uniontown High School Library in Uniontown, Kansas.

Board members present:  Doug Coyan,  John Ericson,  Eldon Luker,
                   Matthew Wood,  Shawn Wilkinson and Lynne Oharah

Members absent:  Jeff Tinsley

Others present for all or portions of the meeting:

	Randy Rockhold   Sherri Hartman   Jean Cook   Barry McAnulty  
            Tracy Smith   Cheyenne Wiley   Justin Query   DuShaun Robinson
	Taylor Rathbun   Kyle Mills   Haley Melton  
 
The meeting was called to order at 7:29 p.m. by John Ericson who then led the 
group in the flag salute.

Motion was made by Coyan, seconded by Luker, to approve the agenda.
Motion passed 6-0. 

Motion was made by Luker, seconded by Oharah, to approve the minutes of 
the July 27, 2009 meeting with the change to Item N:  Change date to 01/11/10. 
Motion passed 6-0.   

Rockhold gave a brief overview of the 2009-2010 budget.

Motion was made by Coyan, seconded by Wilkinson, to approve the consent 
agenda.
Motion passed 6-0.

       A.  Approve the 2009-2010 budget.		
       B.  Approve KASB recommended BOE policies.
       C.  Approve and pay bills for $40,167.82.
       D. Approve TreasurerŐs Report for July 2009.
       E.  Approve Hiland Dairy milk bid for 2009-2010.

StudentŐs addressed the Board requesting the date for graduation to be changed.

Principals Rockhold and Smith gave oral presentations to the Board. 

Motion was made by Coyan, seconded by Wood, to nominate Lynne Oharah
as the BoardŐs governmental relations contact.
Motion passed 5-1 (Oharah abstained).
Motion was made by Coyan, seconded by Oharah, to adjourn the meeting.
Motion passed 6-0.

Meeting adjourned at 8:52 p.m.
