Achievement Card Program

There are three cards a student can earn: gold, orange, or black. The requirements are based on the previous nine week period. They are only valid for the nine week period immediately following.
Following is a description of the Card Colors, the Requirements for each and the Incentives for each.
Gold
* No more than one B and the remainder of the grades must be A's
* No detentions, disciplinary referrals to the office, and no dress code violations
* Two or fewer absences to any class
* No missing homework assignments and must carry planner
Excused for lunch two minutes early five days per week
Three homework punches
Eligible for prize drawing at the end of nine weeks
Orange
* All A's and B's
* No detentions, disciplinary referrals to the office, and no dress code violations
* Three or fewer absences to any class
* No missing homework assignments and must carry planner
Excused for lunch two minutes early on Wednesday & Friday
Two homework punches
Eligible for drawing at the end of the nine weeks
Black
* All grades C and above or Perfect Attendance
* No detentions, disciplinary referrals to the office, and no dress code violations
* Four or fewer absences to any class
* No missing homework assignments and must carry planner
Excused for lunch two minutes early Thursday
One homework punch
Eligible for drawing at the end of the nine weeks
Cards can be revoked during the nine week incentive period for the following reasons:
* If a student receives ISS or OSS
* One or more unexcused absence
* Falsifying your card
* loaning your card
New cards are issued each nine weeks. Each card will have your name, an expiration date, and a school stamp. New cards will not be issued until the old cards have been turned in.
Students who earn a card and keep the card for the complete grading period will qualify for an end of the year incentive field trip.
Quarterly Drawings will occur September 15, 2010, November 3, 2010, January 12, 2011, and March 30, 2011.
Each gold card will qualify a student to be exempt from one final - No more than two exemptions per semester.
