UHS Cheerleaders

On July 21,2007, eleven of the eighteen UHS Cheer/Dance team member participated in a one-day camp put on by Elite Cheering out of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Three college cheerleaders from across the country came to Uniontown to teach the girls new chants, cheers, a dance, and some fun games. The girls worked hard on strength exercises, jumps, and stunting from 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Jullea Decker (Team Captain) tried out to be an All American Cheerleader at the Camp, which could lead to future applications of her cheerleading accomplishments. The team received a certificate and a ribbon for excellence during the day camp. In conclusion, I felt the day was successful for the girls who attended and for our team's growth overall.

About three to four weeks after the camp, I received notice the Jullea Decker was chosen as an All American Cheerleader. Congratulations Jullea!
