Athletic Admission Fee Returns

For the past five years, Uniontown parents have enjoyed ‘free’ admission to all home contests. Unfortunately, due to rising game official’s cost, increased utility and fuel cost and a continuing effort to maintain a high standard of protective equipment and uniforms for our student/athletes to wear, it has become necessary to return to an admission fee.
Uniontown continues to be a member of the Three Rivers League (TRL) for both the Junior and Senior High Schools. We have been the only team, within the league, that has recently allowed free admission for its’ contests. Additionally, USD #235 remains to be a fully ‘free’ educational institution for its students and parents. We do not charge any ‘user’ fee, ‘activity’ fees, ‘book and rental’ fees and others, as you may be well aware of in the immediate area!
Our schools admissions for events this year will parallel the TRL with the following prices: $4 for Adults and $2 for Students (Pre K-12). The administration at USD #235 has a true concern about reinstating an admission fee and have developed, with the cooperation of the Booster Club, a ‘Family Pass’ that are now available at a true discounted rate for all home games. Prices as follows: Junior High Family Pass for all Home Events sponsored by the Junior High is $45.00. High School Family Pass for all Home Events will be $80.00 and, a combined District Pass, allowing admission to all Junior and Senior High Events will be $100.00. Please contact either office at the JH/HS building to learn more or to purchase a Family Pass. No passes will be accepted for any home tournament event, and of course, any tournament sponsored by the Kansas High School Activities Association.
If you are a Senior Citizen and a resident of USD #235, a lifetime pass is waiting for you at the High School Office! As always, please call, or come in and pick up your pass without any charge.
In closing, and probably the ‘best deal’ for students, is the redevelopment of the Pep Club! Elementary, Junior and Senior High students have the opportunity to join their respective Clubs for a minimal charge of $10.00. This fee will provide them with a Pep Club shirt and full time game involvement and supervision at all home events. We encourage the students to join, have a fun time and also learn true sportsmanship in a positive and productive way.
