Fifth Grade Science Projects
Gavin and John
May 07, 2008
Mrs. Jackson’s science class was required to do demonstrations.
Mrs. Jackson does these demonstrations because it teaches
sequencing and the responsibility of planning, organizing and
presenting their projects. The steps for this are:
1. Give Mrs. Jackson their idea to be approved
2. Her approval considers safety and ease of presentation to the
class.
3. They have to complete a planning sheet to be approved.
4. They have to make a slide show showing the steps and supplies
need in the demonstration
How they are graded is that they are prepared and sure of
themselves when they give their project.
Examples of some of the demo were tap dancing, cooking, drawing,
making key chains, calf roping, how to make cement stepping stones,
making gems on jeans, dance twirls, putting makeup on a model, and
how to hatch baby chicks. The fifth grade enjoyed doing
this.
