Uniontown Softball finished the regular season with a record of 14-6 and was seeded 2nd in its Regional hosted by Pittsburg-St. Mary's Colgan at Pittsburg State University.  The Lady Eagles received a first-round bye and faced Moran-Marmaton Valley in the semi-finals.  The Eagles defeated Marmaton Valley 9-2.

The Eagles faced the 1-seeded Oswego Indians in the Regional Championship Game. The Eagles were trailing 2-1 after 3 innings of play but kept playing hard and scored 4 runs in the 4th inning, and added 1 run in each inning the rest of the game.  The defense and pitching kept the Indians off the scoreboard until they were able to get one more run in the 7th inning.  The Eagles won the game by a final of 8-3.

Uniontown will travel to Pratt for the 2-1A State Softball Tournament on May 24-25.  The seedings for State are undetermined as of today.  There is one Regional Champion still to be determined.  Valley Falls will play Lebo/Waverly on Wednesday, May 16 at 5 PM.  As of right now, the Eagles are in a 3-way tie for the third seed.

More information will be posted as it becomes available.

Congratulations to Coach Coyan, Coach Shinn and the entire softball team.  Go Eagles!
