Kansas School Bus Stop Arm Laws

Kansas School Bus Stop Arm Law. In the coming weeks, the state will be asking us to keep track of Stop Arm violations for a data collection to report to the legislature. Please make yourself and others aware. There is currently legislation that if passed, would raise the fine for illegally passing a school bus from $420 to $1,500 per occurrence.

Feb-19th Policy Change

Backpacks, bags, purses, and cell phones

Beginning on February 19th students may not have backpacks, purses, bags, or cell phones in classrooms during the school day. Backpacks, duffel bags, purses, etc must be stored in lockers or other appropriate spaces. They create a tripping hazard for teachers and other students.   Laptops/laptop bags may be brought into the classroom for the purpose of transporting the laptop.  Cell Phones may not be brought . . .

Lunch Policy - HS Students

HS Parents, just an FYI. This announcement went out to students today:   HS Students: If you leave campus during the lunch period, you must sign out AND verify with Toni that your parent has called you out. No parent call= No leaving. DO NOT leave through the gym, exit and enter through the HS Front doors. DO NOT use the West door by the gym. Failure to do any of these steps will result in disciplinary action.   . . .

Morning Drop Update

  Parents and Community: Due to limited staff supervision in each building prior to 7:30 AM, we have made a change to our morning routine to ensure student safety. Beginning this school year, students will not be allowed in the building before 7:30 AM on school days.  Any students who are dropped off before 7:30 will be required to sit in the Commons area at WBE or UJH/UHS until 7:30. . . .
