In the second game of the midseason tournament, the Uniontown Eagles faced the Osawatomie Trojans and the Humboldt Cubs. There were no JV games.

The girls Varsity team lost against Osawatomie with a score of 48-52. Danielle Howard had 22 points tonight, as well as 2 assists and 9 steals.  Karleigh Schoenberger had 15 points, 5 rebounds, 1 assist and 2 steals. Sammie Hampton led the team with 7 rebounds, and also had 5 steals and an assist. Coach Miller said, “Tough loss, poor communication on defense and too many turnovers was the reason for our demise. However, I was pleased with the number of deflections (32) and steals (21) we accumulated. Unfortunately, the bad outweighed the good and we fell short. We are looking forward to battling for 3rd place in the Pleasanton Mid-Season Tournament on Saturday at 4 pm. Go Eagles!”

The boys Varsity beat Humboldt 49-44. Luke George and Jake Harvey each scored 14 points, and George also had 6 rebounds. Harvey had 7 steals as well. Clay Sutterby had 8 points and 9 rebounds. Hunter Schaaf had 6 rebounds. “Getting a win against a good team like Humboldt was huge for our team. Getting the opportunity to play for a tournament championship is a special thing. I’m extremely proud of the effort and energy our team brings every night,” said Coach Hays. Player Luke Perry added, “We had a lot of heart and it was nice to have a student section. I love to win, but most of all, I love to play.”
