After weeks of practice and preparation, last Saturday, nine UHS student musicians traveled to Independence Community College to audition for district honor band, orchestra, and choir. I'm pleased to say that three of them made it into their respective ensembles and will represent Uniontown at the District Convention on December 4 at Pittsburg State University.
Bareigh Farrell is first chair Cello in the orchestra; Breisen Keller is third chair Horn in the band; and Destiny Walker is an Alto in the choir.
After attending district, Bareigh and Breisen will have the opportunity to audition for their State Ensembles. (Destiny's district audition was also her state audition - choir does things differently than instrumental.)
