Eagle Nation lost one of its own this afternoon. Former Head Coach and 2018-19 Asst. HS Girls Basketball Coach Kenny Holt passed away. He was an amazing advocate for kids and his display of courage in the face of life’s difficulties over the past 8 years was an inspiration to many. Rest In Peace Kenny.

TeamMates Mentoring Program is coming to USD 235! It is an education-based mentoring program where you come to school once a week for 30 minutes to mentor a student. It can be during your lunchtime! If you eat lunch in the Uniontown area and would like to mentor a student in our district, consider being a partner in our TeamMates program. TeamMates is a program matching one student with one community member for the purposes of building a relationship in order for them to build their interpersonal skills. For more information, please contact Meaghan Russell at (620)-756-4335 or mrussell@uniontown235.org.

Mrs. Perry 5th grade science class identified three "mystery" substances by combining them with vinegar and iodine. We determined which powders were baking soda, cream of tartar, and cornstarch by observing physical and chemical reactions. We also enjoyed watching the chemical reaction of combining baking soda and vinegar to air up a balloon.

The FFA Trunk or Treat is still on and will still be held at the park. We know it will be cold, but we feel holding it at the park is still the best plan. Free food will be served at 6:00 and the Trunk or Treat will begin at 6:30.
