What a morning WBE had! Our Grandparents breakfast brought together 350 grandparents and great-grandparents, and the joy in the room was absolutely undeniable.
We even had at least one family celebrating four generations of Uniontown Eagles together — how amazing is that? 🧡🦅🖤

Breakfast with Grandparents!
We are excited to welcome our grandparents and special guests to "Breakfast with Grandparents" tomorrow morning! We are looking forward to this incredible community event while ensuring our students still have a full, active day of learning ahead.
Here are a few important details to help tomorrow morning run smoothly and safely:
RSVP Required: Attendance is limited to those who have already submitted an RSVP
Parking & Arrival: Please park in the east parking lot and arrive at the patio on the north side of WBE.
Bus Safety Warning: Buses will arrive via the north driveway and begin unloading students at 7:30 AM. Please do not use the north driveway while buses are present (7:15 AM and 7:45 AM).
Doors Open: We will open the doors to receive students and guests at 7:30 AM.
Staging & Dining Area: We will gather all Grandparents on the patio on the north side of WBE to connect grandparents with their students as the students arrive to school. Along with our cafeteria, the patio will serve as a dining area.
Building Security: To maintain school safety, grandparents and guests will not be permitted down the classroom hallways.
Student Dismissal: We will begin dismissing students to their classrooms at 7:50 AM to start their school day, continuing in waves as students finish breakfast until every student is accounted for.

**Important Morning & Lunchtime Reminders for WBE Families!**
Help us keep our school day running smoothly by reviewing a few quick food service updates with your students:
**Breakfast Arrival & Morning Routine**
* If your child is eating breakfast at school, they should drop their backpack off in their designated area in the WBE gym and head directly to the cafeteria upon arrival.
* Students are dismissed to their classrooms from the gym at 7:50 AM. Arriving early ensures our food service team has enough time to serve everyone and that students get to class on time.
**Accurate Meal Counts**
Our kitchen team prepares meals based on daily headcounts. Please help us by making sure your child lets their teacher know during morning attendance if they plan to eat school breakfast and/or lunch, and to stick to that choice. Accurate morning counts prevent food shortages and ensure our kitchen team prepares enough food for every student to stay well-nourished.
**Microwave Safety for Home Lunches**
If your student brings a lunch from home and plans to warm it up in the cafeteria microwave, please ensure it is packed in a microwave-safe container. Our meal service is unable to provide paper plates or extra dishware for heating home meals.
