On Wednesday, April 8 we had nine students travel to Wichita State University for the Sunpowered Student Challenge, which focuses on solar energy technologies. The Solar Queens, made up of Aryonnah Beaton, Paityn Hueston, Jiyah Middleton & Camilla Cagle, won 1st place in Creative Curb Appeal. While the Solar Eagles, made up of Adam Page, Ty Shelton, Ziggy Barbour & Ash Sporleder won 1st place in the Skills Challenge and also 1st place in the Collaborative Challenge. It was a successful day for our Eagle students!

Eagles Shooting Team: We are going to move Saturday's practice to 10am. This is to accommodate all kids going to prom! This is also reserve week. Each athlete will shoot only 50 rounds. We will use these scores in case of a missed competition. If you can't make Saturday, you can shoot your reserve week today or next Wednesday! Please let us know.

The JV Golf Team had their first Tournament today in Erie. Each of the boys had some good holes and learned what it takes to compete at the High School level. All but one of today's athletes are new to the sport this season and have been working hard to learn the game. Our golfers will be on the course again Thursday for Uniontown's 9-hole tournament in Fort Scott at 3:00

Today the JH/HS Special Olympics athletes and their unified partners competed in the bocce ball tournament at Girard Activity Center. Jarin Cleaver and Ella Shelton teamed up and received 3rd place metals. William Maycumber and his partner Colby Herring along with Adam Senkevech and his partner Heston Stewart received first place metals.
