Attention all heroic parents of West Bourbon Elementary!
The day after Halloween can be especially challenging when getting your kids ready for school. Dealing with a tired and cranky child can feel like trying to dress a feral cat! It's best to avoid bribing them with leftover candy and sending them off to school with sugary treats. We prefer your child still in their pajamas, rather than sending them in a hyperactive state after a sugar binge...lol.
On November 1st, send your little ones to school with a clear head. It is crucial for them to rise and shine for school! Together, let's encourage our students to embrace the day ahead with open minds, full hearts, and maybe just a tad less face paint than yesterday. We will help them detox from the Halloween candy and return them to you at 3:30 pm.
Remember, knowledge is their greatest treat, and every day at school is a chance for them to grow and learn. So, gear them up for a day of post-Halloween learning! Thank you for your cooperation.

Eagle Football Fans;: Our Week 9 Opponent has Canceled the Game With us. I was unable to Secure a Different Team to Play. With that being said, Our Eagle football Season Has Come to an End. Thank You for Following Your Eagle FB Team this Season.

We would like to invite the community to participate in our annual Veterans Day assembly to be held on November 11th and 9:00 am.

WBE students can visit the Book Fair on November 5th through 8th during school hours and during Family Fun Night from 5:15-7:00p.m. on November 7th!
Visit https://www.scholastic.com/bf/westbourbonelementary1 if you would like to set up your students e-wallet!

Friendly reminder regarding food or snacks brought into West Bourbon Elementary for sharing with other students.
Please ensure that all items are pre-packaged by a manufacturer or from a commercially licensed kitchen. This includes food for birthday parties, holiday parties, or any other celebration. Snacks should be brought into the classroom in the manufacturer's original, sealed packaging. Please refrain from unwrapping or removing food from its original packaging. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding!

Dear WBE Family,
Our Fall dress-up day is Thursday, October 31. We are eager to celebrate and have fun with this upcoming event! Students are welcome to wear costumes to school, but we ask that the costumes allow them to move around comfortably and participate in all daily activities. This means being able to go to the restroom independently, enjoy lunch, play outside, and fully engage in all classroom tasks.
Please keep in mind that we do not permit costumes that are bloody or gory and no scary masks. Additionally, we request that any costume props (weapons of any kind, helmets, and hard hats) be left at home for everyone's safety.
Body paint, hair spray, hair paint, glitter, and other costume enhancements may not be applied at school. Please apply those at home.
Thank you for understanding and cooperating with these guidelines.
