The Eagles Girls Golf team started the season with a 3rd place finish in our home opener. Reese Gorman finished in 4th place individually. Nine schools were represented with 8 of them having enough for a team.

Seniors enrolled in UHS Agriculture classes learned how to properly address an envelope, how much postage costs and were asked to write a thank you card to at least one person and mail it today.
This type of lesson will be part of the weekly "Real World Wednesday" lessons where students learn basic skills that will hopefully allow them to become more knowledgeable adults.
Students had the chance to identify numerous life skills and concepts they would like to learn this year. Topics chosen were: taxes, insurance, cooking, loans, investing, basic car services, scheduling appointments, buying a home or car and many other important skill sets for adulthood.
Stay tuned each week as I will share the experiences gained each week.

I’ve had several reach out regarding communities that are able to have all students eat for free. Charli and I are aware of this program. As a district, or by individual building, we would need to have 62.5% of our student population be directly certified for free or reduced lunches. In Uniontown, our ISP (Identified Student Percentage) is 52.98% with WBE at 57.46% and UHS at 46.49%. Unfortunately, due to this, we don't qualify for this program. If you have questions, please don't hesitate to contact me directly.

There are still a variety of steps to take place before construction can be started, but wanted you to have an opportunity to celebrate with us. Additionally, this was a competitive grant and we want to express our appreciation of the Department to prioritizing our project in a field or deserving applicants.
Congratulations to these four Uniontown FFA Members! They received their Kansas FFA State Degree this morning at the sixth convention session .
The state degree is the highest honor our state association can bestow upon it’s members. There are several requirements to earn this degree, but in short it’s awarded to dedicated FFA members who have a quality SAE program.
