On a 54-24 vote the KSHSAA Board of Directors approves a change to allow up to 2 parents/guardians from participants' families to attend athletic events. Masking/social distancing still required. The change goes into effect Thursday, Dec 10th.
The Humboldt Inv. Basketball Tournament has notified all participating schools if the KSHSAA Board of Directors reverses the no spectators ruling,, it will not put it into effect until Thursday's games. Only players and game personnel allowed today. (Tuesday, December 8)

Tonight the UJHS Eagles basketball teams resumed their seasons at Pleasanton. Results: B girls lost 19-6, B boys lost 27-11, A girls won 36-2, A boys lost 37-11. Next action will be Thursday at home.
Bryce Eck placed first and Dawson Bolinger placed second at the Wrestling Tournament Saturday at Caney Valley High School. Kane Shepard and Joe Franklin also wrestled in the Kan-Okla Wrestling Tournament. Great job Eagles along with Coach Hathaway and Coach Eck.
Congratulations to Bryce, Dawson, Kane, and Joe for their efforts at the Kan-Okla Wrestling Tournament on Saturday at Caney Valley High School. The Eagles went 7-6 overall on the day against some outstanding competition.

Well the FFA Fruit truck just pulled in, so we have the fruit orders in the Ag Building. I’m sorry for all of the confusion, but our provider failed badly at communicating with us as they told us yesterday that orders wouldn’t be here until Friday! Anyways, please do your best to make arrangements to pick up at the school at your earliest convenience. It won’t hurt the fruit to stay in the shop overnight if you cannot pick it up today. Thank you for your understanding.
I received word this afternoon from Riverstar that the FFA fruit order won’t be in until Friday now. I am sorry for any inconvenience, but this is out of our control. Please arrange for pick up of orders on Friday.

The Uniontown FFA Ritual team recently took 1st place at the SE District FFA Leadership Contest. As a result, the team earned the opportunity to represent the SE District FFA at the state contest in May. 3 team members also earned Master Ritual status which means they were ranked as the best at their respective position in the district. Team members include:

K-3rd grade Afterschool families were provided Gratitude Trees for our November family project. 21 of 26 families returned their list and received free books. Lists were then compiled into a word cloud. Family, friends, pets, school and teachers were at the top of the list!
UHS Agriculture students Gwen Fry, Addie Martin, Kristy Beene, Danielle Howard and Alie Furhman presented agricultural themed lessons to the K-3 after school programs yesterday!
