In reflecting on their successes it is quite impressive to think they finished in the top 10 as sophomores and in the top 3 the past two years at the state contest. They also represented not only our school, but the state of Kansas at the National Western this past winter. They have certainly left big shoes to fill."

WBE students had a beautiful day for the 2nd annual WBE Fun Run! Students had collected donations for their activity fund in early March and celebrated their fundraising efforts, their academic and social improvements this school year, as well as the nearing of summer break on their early release day Friday, April 5.
All students wore their new WBE shirts designed by UHS student Zoey Hull and printed by Shirt Shack. Their morning rotations consisted of the Fun Run at the UHS track, inflatables and mini golf provided by FunTastic Party Rentals, and the Hedrick's family petting zoo! It was a great day to be a WBE eagle!
In addition to the Fun Run activities and locally sourced incentives, money raised will be used for last day trips, next years' assemblies and field trips, as well as student needs that may arise. In the next couple of weeks we will be seeing activity on the WBE playground where a new play structure is going up!
* 44 will earn a free book at next weeks Book Fair
* 27 students were able to earn customized notebooks from Highway 3
* 12 were able to invite a UHS student to have lunch
