Yesterday, our Special Olympics Athletes competed at Pittsburgh for bowling. Adam and Blake got 2nd place against the two other teams in their lane. Blake made 2 stikes, and Adam made 1 strike!

The UHS Booster Club recently purchased a set of fitness tracker smart watches for the Cross Country Team! When the season is over the team will retain the watches for future athletes to use!

Uniontown will play Southeast Cherokee for its Homecoming Football game on Friday, September 26. The football game kicks off at 3:00 pm. Our Coronation will take place after the game, with the Homecoming Dance to follow on Friday evening.

Uniontown athletes had a great day at the Special Olympic Golf Tournament in Pittsburg. Representing Uniontown was Jarin Cleaver, Adam Senkevich and Blake Surette. Each player was assisted by a partner from the boys golf team. Heston Stewart, Newt Reed, Colby Herring, and Kaidden Hathaway were the partners. Jarin and Colby finished in 1st Place, Blake and Kaidden 2nd place and Adam Newt and Heston finished in 2nd in their category. Great day to be an Eagle and get to watch our student athletes support each other and help them have a wonderful experience.

Students in the Journalism & Media Communications class competed for the school newspaper editor positions. The competition started with an interview and progressed to a full newspaper page design featuring the human interest story they wrote. Hailey Shadden emerged as Editor-in-Chief with a flawless presentation, and our other two student editors followed close behind. Congrats, everyone! We hope you're all excited to check out the new and improved Talon Newspaper coming next month!

Note that all transactions made through PowerSchool Mobile App will incur an additional service fee charge. For debit, credit, and ACH payments, your payment information is securely transmitted through a PCI-compliant service directly to Worldpay for Platforms for processing. Your payment information is never stored on PowerSchool servers. Card payments will only be accepted via the mobile app.
For parents or guardians who prefer in-person payments via cash or check, these methods of payment will still be accepted at the school office.

Junior Ag students went on a "bug hunt" today as they prepare for the Entomology contest coming up on September 17th. The sunflower patch served as a great location to find several species of bugs!
