USD 235 wants to collect some feedback. A grant exists to potentially address some of the PreSchool items that were previously included in the bond proposal. It is only 4 questions and can be completed in just a few moments. Your feedback is valuable as we work to align with the goals and priorities of the community. We will close this survey on Sunday, December 4th. Thanks, Vance https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/5FW3GZV

Cold Weather & Winter Clothing Reminder to Parents/Guardians Beginning immediately and through the winter months, all students are expected to wear appropriate winter wear (Please see below for the expected winter gear for each grade level). It is necessary for your child to have weather appropriate clothing for their safety and health while outdoors. Every child has outdoor exercise before school, noontime recess and an afternoon recess. School district policy states that if a child is healthy enough to come to school, they are expected to participate in all school activities. A physician's note is necessary to exclude a student from participation in outdoor activities. K-3 Winter coat, hat/hood, gloves/mittens, and winter boots/shoes. 4-6 Winter coat, hat/hood, gloves/mittens, and winter boots/shoes. If a child comes to school without appropriate winter gear, the parent will be notified by the teacher. Children who continue to be without the appropriate winter gear may risk losing his/her recess. If there is a financial reason for not having appropriate winter gear, please contact the office and we will assist you. (620) 224-2350. Our goal is for every child to have a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable outside experience. These times are vital for Physical Exercise and Social Skill Development. Your support with achieving this goal is greatly appreciated. Please feel free to contact us if you have questions or concerns. WBE Principal’s 2023-2024 Mr. Tracy B. Smith Ms. Anita Lightcap

USD 235 will be transitioning to a new phone number. This single number will provide you access to either location for assistance. We realize switching from our current number wasn't the most convenient solution. However, in light of the cost savings to be had and the improved services available through a new vendor, this was determined to be in the best interest of the district. Our new number is 620-224-2350. The old/current numbers will stop working on November 24th. Until then, you can reach us either way.
