REMINDER regarding food or snacks brought into WBE for sharing with other students. This includes birthday parties, holiday parties, parties of any kind! ALL food must be pre-packaged from a manufacturer or from a commercially licensed kitchen. Snacks are to be brought into the classroom party in the manufacturer container. No food may be unwrapped or removed from original packaging.

UHS Student Council and the senior Government class students were proud to host 15 local military veterans this morning at our annual Veterans' Day assembly. We are so honored to have each of them in our community and appreciate the opportunity to thank them for their service.
W.B.E. Library will be hosting a Fall Book Fair November 13th-17th, 2023. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8:00a.m.-11:00a.m. and 1:00p.m.-3:45p.m. The Book Fair will also be open during the Thanksgiving Feast on Friday, November 17th, 2023.
The Eagles competed at Special Olympics Bowling. Their placings are by their divisions: Dylan Lawrence, Zeb Barbour, and Jarin Clever won 1st place. Dominic Pollries and Zane Ryan/Molly Troutman won 2nd. Will Maycumber won 3rd place and Adam Senkvech/Scout Eden 4th place.

For anyone interested, KOAM and Fox 14 will run a story this evening about Maria Cibrian Vazquez and her National Spanish FFA Creed victory.
The story will run on KOAM at 5, 6 and 10:00 PM. It will also run on Fox 14 at 9:00 PM
USD 235 will be transitioning to a new phone number. This single number will provide you access to either location for assistance. We realize switching from our current number wasn't the most convenient solution. However, in light of the cost savings to be had and the improved services available through a new vendor, this was determined to be in the best interest of the district. Our new number is 620-224-2350. The old/current numbers will stop working on November 24th. Until then, you can reach us either way.

Uniontown Junior High and High School students held a school-wide assembly this morning to congratulate sophomore Maria Cibrian-Vazquez on her incredible National FFA Championship! Maria's parents and brother were in attendance, and Maria also presented the FFA Creed in Spanish to the entire student body. Congrats, Maria, on your amazing accomplishment!

No school for students Monday, November 6th due to teachers having professional development.
The proposed USD 235 Bond Issue qualifies for State-Aide. If our bond is approved, the State will pay for 32% of the overall cost. If approved, the district will also apply for FEMA funding related to the storm shelters. If awarded, it would cover 50% of the cost of those storm shelters at WBE and UJH/HS.
