Clarification on Reopen Plan: The 2 choices at this time are Face to Face or Remote Learning. Hybrid would not be used provided we are allowed to have all students attend.
USD 235 Patrons - Our administrative team will be briefing the USD 235 Board of Education on Thursday, July 30 about our Reopening Plan. We will release a preliminary plan to the public on Friday, July 31. This plan will be placed on our website and social media platforms.
This Thursday at 7PM there will be a HS football player and parent meeting at 7 PM in the gym. This meeting is mandatory! Please reach out to Coach Stark if you’re unable to attend.
Parents may re-enroll their students through an online platform this year. Invitations went out to all of our current students yesterday via email and text message. We will still have in-person enrollment, for those who prefer it, on August 6th from 8:00am to 7:00pm.
The @UniontownUSD235 admin team is reviewing EO #20-58 (delay start of school/requires KSBOE action) and #20-59 (COVID mitigation in schools). Info will be shared with Reopen School Committee. Lots to digest and things are changing daily. We'll keep the district updated!
Due to Governor Kelly's pending executive order, all summer athletic activities (weights, basketball, football team camp, etc.) have been Cancelled for the Foreseen Future. Fall Coaches Will be in contact with Athletes after we get KSHSAA Guidance for proceeding.
UHS Graduation Ceremony is still ON for tonight! We will plan to wait out the weather, as it's expected to move out no later than 8:00 PM. For those of you attending, please plan to bring some towels or rags to wipe off your chairs. It will still be live-streamed on our FB page

The UHS Class of 2020 Graduation Ceremony will be held Sat. July 11, 7:30 PM, Eagle Stadium. Attendance is by invitation only, but if you are not able to attend, you can still watch it via Facebook Live on the USD 235 Facebook page!
"An athlete who attended summer conditioning on Tuesday, 7/ 7 is experiencing COVID-19 symptoms. As a preventative measure, there will be no summer conditioning on Thursday, July 9 for male or female athletes. conditioning will be back on 7/ 13 and all athletes will be outside.

USD 235 posted yesterday that Southeast Kansas Multi-County Health Dept. was offering immunizations and physicals by appointment only on July 8 and 9. This has now been postponed. We will re-post with more information as it is made available to us.
We had a great turnout for KSHSAA Physicals today. All who signed up ahead of time have completed their physicals so there will be no need for the 2nd day. A huge thank you to Nurse Betty Dennis & SE Kansas Community Health Center for arranging this event . Thanks All - Mr. Mason
